Real Estate

Stop competing with the portals. Compete for the vendors.

No agency website is going to outrank the major portals for buyer searches, and every dollar spent trying is wasted. The searches you can win are the ones that matter more anyway — the ones a vendor makes in the weeks before they decide who lists their home.

The specifics

Where an agency site actually earns its keep

Vendor searches are the whole game

"How much is my house worth", "best real estate agent in [suburb]", "agent commission rates", "should I sell or rent". These are pre-listing searches, they are winnable, and each one is worth a listing.

Suburb profiles are your genuine advantage

You have actual local data and actual sold results. A real suburb profile with median prices, recent sales, school catchments and honest commentary is content the portals produce generically and you can produce better.

Agent profiles rank on their own

People search agents by name before they call them. A proper profile page for each agent — with sold results, reviews and a real bio — captures that search instead of handing it to a portal's version of your agent.

Speed matters more here than almost anywhere

Property sites carry heavy images and heavy embeds, and a slow site on mobile loses people mid-scroll. This is one of the few verticals where we'll refuse to build on a bloated theme.

FAQ

Common questions

Can our website rank for property listings?

Realistically, no — the major portals own buyer search and that isn't changing. It's also the wrong goal. Your listings get found on the portals; your website's job is to win the vendor before there's a listing to find.

Do suburb profile pages actually work?

They're one of the few places an agency can genuinely out-content a portal, because you have real sold data and real local knowledge and they have a template. Done properly with your own numbers, yes. Done as generic filler, no.

Should each agent have their own page?

Yes. Vendors research individual agents by name before they call, and if you don't have a strong page for that search, a portal's profile of your agent will take it — along with the enquiry and a prompt to compare them against two competitors.

What about property management?

It's a separate funnel with separate searches and much higher lifetime value, and most agency sites bury it under a menu item. We'd build it out as its own set of pages targeting landlord searches.
